How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38)

The Lord Jesus was called the Anointed One. He was anointed as the Christ, the Messiah, the Chosen One. The question is, how did it happen? The Holy Ghost came upon Him to enter into Him. This is where many have been confused. They say the Holy Spirit upon is different from the Holy Spirit within, but that is not correct.

In the New Testament, He comes upon you for the purpose of entering into you. He doesn't come upon you to stay on you. This is why the anointing is not something that rests on an office. God never anointed an office. He anointed people. The anointing is personal because it is the Holy Spirit coming into a man or woman.

Even in the Old Testament, when certain articles were anointed, it meant they were separated. The articles that were used in the temple were not to be used for anything else. That was consecration. They were separated unto God for divine ministry. In the same way, when the Holy Spirit came into you, He separated you as God's living tabernacle.

Therefore, you're consecrated, not by a title, but by the indwelling Spirit. Now, if you will trust what you already got, you will do amazing things. It's for the same reason we tell God's people not to seek a new anointing or double portion anointing; you already received the fullness of the Spirit when the Holy Spirit came to live in you: *"For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him"*(John 3:34).
